Thats not true! White marks on your nails are air bubbles. Nothing to do with calcium, love.
Apparently, it's just an old wive's tale that the white flecks on fingernails are due to calcium deficiency.
As you can see from the previous answers the real cause of white marks under the nails is not clearly understood, but for sure it is not caused by calcium deficiency.
I had white marks on my toenails. My doctor said that it was fungus under the nails. He gave me some oral medication and hey presto - no more white marks.
