I have mold on some of my finger nails I wear Acrilic Nails. Why is that happening.?

What is causing my nails to get mold on them. I am wearing fills.I have mold on some of my finger nails I wear Acrilic Nails. Why is that happening.?
You've gotten moisture trapped under your nails. You should really take them off and give them a chance to air out. Otherwise you run the risk of loosing your real nails :-( Your nail tech can be as sterile as she can but once they lift, it can occasionally happen, that you can get moisture trapped under there. You can find an OTC anti fungal liquid that will help keep it at bay as it is growing out. If it seems to be getting worse, definitely see a Dr.

I worked as a nail tech for 10 yrs and have seen lots of green come in the salon. Let it grow out before putting them back on again.

Good luck to you.I have mold on some of my finger nails I wear Acrilic Nails. Why is that happening.?
Your nails need to have air to breath. Take the fake ones off for a long time and let your real nalis get some air. See a doc about getting rid of the mold.
Yipes! take them off and see a DR, it sounds like whoever is doing them is NOT clean or you're not keeping them clean enough.
its a fungus under your nail. It could be the people that are doing your nails there instruments aren't clean.
You probably have nail fungus. It is contagious and a known nail-salon risk. You have to remove the nails and you should see a doctor. It is hard to get rid of fungal infections. You may have to take anti-fungal drugs.

In the future, you might want to consider learning how to do your own nails. You will save money and it is less risky.
My first reaction was one of revulsion. I'm not a big fan of acrylic nails and this reminds why. I suggest you soak your hands in some serious cleaner, peroxide, maybe even a little bleach. Then I would suggest you go to a reputable salon and get the whole mess removed. Yikes!! Good luck.
get them taken off as soon as possible. how long have you had them on?

i had acrylic nails and had them taken care of every two weeks and did not have a problem. maybe you need for your natural nails to breathe for a while.
omg omg oh my god!!! i heard bout that its dangerous!! u can get sick or have a serious infection even die!! take them off!!!!! and soak ur real nails in a bleach water solution!!! 1 cup water 1 tablespoon bleach!!!! u maybe went to a cheap crappy salon or i dont know but it is dangerous TAKE THEM OFF AND SOAK UR REAL NAILS!! KEEP THE FAKE NAILS OFF 4 LIKE 6 MONTHS! next time make sure they are clean and licensed
Moisture feeds mold. That may be it.
When you apply them, you need to make sure that your hands: nails, fingers, etc; are very clean. You also need to make sure that the acrylic nails and any insturments used to apply them are clean too, and that you allow them to dry fully before washing your hands or doing any activities.

It also doesn't hurt to lay off the fake nails for a while. If you wear them too often the chemicals from the glue can eat away at your natural nails, weakening them.
You should get those taken off right away, there likely was moisture under your nails when you got your fill. Please see a different nail technician as the other possibility is that the instruments your tech used were not sterile. Seriously this could affect your health have them taken off. Make sure the next person you see is licensed in the state you live in.
there might b water trapped inside of it or something that produces mold. when they get like that get new nails
You need to have them removed Now!!! That is very dangerous.Leave them off for at least six months are more.
it might be moisture. and the only real way to get rid of mold is using bleach (i don't suggest u do that). i suggestu get the nails taken off.
